Help Us Care for Our Campus:Fire Prevention Project As stewards of the beautiful 27 acres that make up our St. John Neumann campus—including our church, pastoral center, preschool, St. Francis House and Holy Family Center—it is our responsibility to care for the land we’ve been blessed with.
Due to significant fallen debris over many years and overgrowth in about 10 acres of untouched wooded area, our property is currently at extreme risk for wildfire. With Austin ranked 5th nationally in cities most at risk for property loss due to fire, the time to act is now. One of our dedicated parishioners has stepped forward to donate their time to manage a fire prevention clean-up project—clearing out dead brush and creating defensible space near buildings. While the estimated cost of the project is over $100,000, this generous offer could save the parish up to 40% and allow us to begin work this week.
By addressing this risk, we not only protect our parish facilities but also honor God’s gift of creation by being faithful stewards of our land. We are seeking donations for this special project.
